Median nerve

Standard sections

A: Mid upper arm

In the upper arm the median nerve follows the brachial artery (=A), more proximal in the axillary region it most frequently lies anteroradial to the artery. In the distal course, the nerve changes to the ulnar side.

((Medianus mid Humerus))

F: Proximal carpal tunnel

At the wrist crease, the nerve lies between the flexor tendons superficially and is recognised by its typical honeycomb structure.

((Medianus prox CT))
